FanUnite is not responsible for copyrighting your music. Please refer to our Copyrighting Hints page when you upload a new video to see how your music is protected and what you can do to ensure that your work is not stolen.
FanUnite is permitted to link your Facebook page to your FanUnite profile. However, your individual Facebook profile is not able to link. Go ahead and create a band/artist Facebook page to promote your musical talent. If that URL still does not link to FanUnite, contact the FanUnite Help team on the Contact Us or Feedback pages.
Your Recent Activity module shows what your Followings are up to. This includes uploading new Videos, editing profiles, creating or editing Albums, participation in a Competition, and sharing of Videos, Albums, Playlists or Competitions. If you are following a Competition, you will also receive updates on Competition Leaders.
Albums and Playlists have similar functionalities, but Albums provide an opportunity for users to showcase the videos they have uploaded to their Video Library. Fans can highlight artists, shows and events using videos they have filmed. Artists can do the same, as well as promote their own events, gigs, albums, and concerts using videos of their own performances.
Playlists, on the other hand, are a collection of any videos by any artist that the user wants to organize and watch on their own time.
Albums were created with the intention of promoting a particular event or artist. If you want to watch a video that you have not uploaded to your Video Library, feel free to upload it to a Playlist of your choosing.
Your FanUnite Points reflect the total accumulation of points that you have earned since joining FanUnite. Leaderboards show only the points you have earned within a given month, and the total is automatically included in your FanUnite Points.
To view the total number of FanUnite Points you have accumulated, go to the FanUnite Points page under your username tab on the right hand side of the menu bar. There, you will be able to see how to earn points and the level of Fan, Artist and Promoter you have reached.
Your User Points are aligned with the duration of Competitions. Competitions Rankings and User Points rankings are therefore reset every month to make it easier for users to keep track of where they stand in comparison to other users at a given moment. If you want to see how many points you have total, check out the My FanUnite Points page under your username tab and see all the points you have earned for every activity on FanUnite.
You can earn points on FanUnite for nearly anything you do on the site. Under User Points Ranking, we want you to see how you compare to other users as both an artist and fan/promoter. Check out your FanUnite Points page to see how the points are divided up.
